Holter Lake Trip #1

Our second camping trip of the season found us at Holter.  This is probably our favorite spot to be in the months of July and August.  It was so busy up at the lake, but we still managed to get a spot at the first campground along the water.  We loved to watch the boats go by and the girls loved to be able to walk right down to the water to throw rocks or try some fishing.

One of the things we spent money on this year was a wakeboard tower for the boat.  Jeremy put it on himself.  I am not sure if this is the right way to check out his installation job though!

Abbie skiing it up!

The girls really wanted to work on their fishing this trip.  We didn't bring any bait but they sure had a good time casting their lines.

The girls are so lucky they have such amazing grandmas.  Grandma Nita drove up to the lake and slept in the van one night and Grandma Nate drove up to spend a long day with the girls.  The girls were quick to want to show Grandma Nate their fishing skills.

Jeremy was really excited to try out the wakeboard tower.  It took him just a few times and up he came out of the water and was able to manage to keep the board sideways.  By the end of the weekend he was able to even cross the wake.

I was also excited to try out the tower.  Being my agile self, this is what I look like when I wakeboard...

...And then like this!!

Even Sissy gets her own chair as we sit and relax around the campfire.  I am just wondering when Jeremy is going to start making the s'mores!!
