Rylee's Baptism

The end of March brought Rylee's introduction into her own Christian faith. We are so lucky that each of the girls have such a strong support system in their grandparents and godparents as they grow and develop their own faith and beliefs. Sunday, March 29, 2009 Rylee became a child of God.

Rylee loves baths and having water run over her so her baptism was just another big "bath" to her and she cooed and smiled all through it.

Both Abbie and Rylee are very lucky to have grandparents who are actively involved in helping to guide the girls' religious beliefs.

This picture brings tears to my eyes each time I look at it. I sure wish Grandpa Gary was here to watch my girls grow up and become little people. He would be so proud of them!

Jenny and Dan Woods and Jacie and Brett Schoenen are the godparents for both Abbie and Rylee. Jeremy and I couldn't have picked anyone better to participate in not only the girls' religious guidance but within their life as a whole. Both sets of godparents are so loving and caring toward our girls that each time I watch them interact with them I am reminded how lucky I am to have such great friends.

I couldn't be happier...what a great family I have!

As most of you know, or may have guessed by now, I love pictures. I love taking them, sharing them, looking at them, relooking at them. I am of the firm belief that once my baby girls are all grown up all I will have left is their pictures, so I am going to take a lot of them. I took Abbie to have her picture taken every 3 months during her first year of life and then every 6 months since. Stay tuned for more pictures to follow in June.

Snowshoeing and 4-Wheeling in March

The second weekend in March we headed out to Monarch for a Family Day of trying out snowshoeing. I had thought we should try something different than just sledding and had a hard time finding any cross-country skis so we opted for snowshoeing. We drove to Monarch and saw that there wasn't much snow there so we kept heading up King's Hill. We ended up nearly at Neihart before we found enough snow to do some sledding and snowshoeing. Surprisingly we all enjoyed snowshoeing, except Rylee who slept from the time we left Great Falls to the time we drove back into Great Falls. She even slept through the snack break we took at the Cub's Den on the way back into town.





We took some time out from snowshoeing to build a snowman.




The third weekend in March Jeremy and I went up on Saturday and spent the day in Hughesville, just the two of us. We don't seem to take a lot of time for just the two of us very often and when we plan something I hate to think of leaving the girls, but when we are together I realize how much I enjoy "our time" and how much we need it occasionally. We spent the day riding up past the Hughesville mine, which is a place we haven't explored in the past. It was a nice day with new scenery and lots of talk time.
