For the last several years I have talked about taking the girls on the Charlie Russell Choo-Choo Polar Express Ride, however each time I have called the tickets have been sold out. This year I called on October 1st, the opening day of ticket sales, and was able to get tickets for a weekend that worked with our schedule. We got tickets for a Saturday afternoon and it was so perfect. The girls had a practice for their Sunday School program and then we grabbed some lunch and headed to Lewistown. We made it in plenty of time and were able to get the girls changed into their pajamas before we loaded the train.
The train ride was lots of fun. We were served hot chocolate and cookies while an elf read a story about Santa on the train ride. After the story was finished, the kids wrote a letter to Santa and then Santa come individually to each table to talk to the kids and read their letters with them. Rylee's letter asked Santa for a Sophia Family, while Abbie asked Santa for Anna and Elsa dolls from the movie
Frozen. We unloaded the train just before 7 and then went to Pizza Hut in Lewistown before heading home. What a fun day!!
