I decided that the beautiful weather on the long weekend of teacher's convention wasn't going to go without some pictures of the fall colors and the girls. Today's picture session was just about fun! I let them play in the leaves and even let Rylee eat some in between some of our poses!
We have been able to take photos outside every year since Abbie was born and I hope to keep it a tradition. Nothing prettier to me than fall foliage.

Fire Prevention Week
In case I haven't mentioned it lately, I have the best husband in the whole world! During fire prevention week Abbie's preschool teacher asked if Jeremy could bring something in to show the kids. Not only did he agree to help out somehow, he spent a morning teaching Abbie's class what to do if they catch on fire (stop, drop, and roll in case it's been awhile). He also showed them what a firefighter looks like in full gear so they wouldn't be afraid if they saw one in their house. He then gave Abbie's whole class fire hats. A huge hit with 4 year-olds! All of this after working 2 night shifts and zero sleep. Thanks honey!
Rylee at 10 months
Ah, Rylee another month has passed. This month you truly are showing us your little personality.
This month Rylee has focused on communicating with us and letting us know when she is not happy. She screams this ear piercing high-pitched scream when she is not getting her way. We have avoided restaurants and public places this month since it is hard to avoid the looks from those that are less than impressed. Jeremy and I thought this scream was cute at first and sometimes the scream is even coupled with clenched fists. The teenage years might be tough if this doesn't pass...
This month Rylee is super cute waving bye-bye and showing us patty-cake. She is still clapping her hands by clapping on the back of one hand rather than the palms together. She loves Abbie's attention and will crawl to whatever room Abbie is in so that she can interact with her. She pulls herself up on our pantlegs when she wants attention and that face is hard to resist.
Rylee is still eating baby food and so this month I had Abbie feed her prunes and peas again. She made such a horrible face when we fed them to her in the past that I thought it would be a good "remember this" moment to have on video. So I have the video all set up to go and I tell Abbie to go ahead and feed her the peas. She takes a bite. No face. Another bite. Still no scrunched up face while shaking her head no. In fact, she seems to like the peas. Ok...well that's not a bad thing. I tell Abbie to go ahead and feed her the prunes. Video camera ready, here we go again. She takes a bite. Nothing. Another bite. What???!!! Now Rylee even likes prunes??? So although I didn't catch a funny face on video I am super happy that she likes all foods, especially her veggies.

Family Day on October 4th
Most Sundays lately are family day spent getting ready for soccer, playing soccer, and recuperating after soccer. It seems like our whole day is consumed with soccer, overwhelming to me really. This particular Sunday we were invited to spend some family time with the Palmers (after soccer of course). First we spent about an hour rollerskating and then headed to do some swimming. It was a nice family day for us because Abbie had a great time in the pool, Rylee loved watching, and Jeremy and I loved just relaxing!

4th Soccer on October 4th
This soccer Sunday brought us back to the cold and brisk Montana fall weather. I might also point out that the weather at our house seems much warmer than at the soccer field where the wind seems to blow more, dropping the temperature at least 10 degrees.
Where's Rylee?
This was Abbie's best game ever. She actually lost track of how many goals she scored...I think it was around 7!
